Here is my 2016 Nissan Leaf – Used EV Purchased in February 2018
(prices are lower now)
- Less than 2 years old – 15,000 miles
- 107 mile range, larger 30 kilowatt hour battery ( smaller is 24 )
- 100,000 mile Nissan battery warranty
$19,750 Nissan Leaf 2016 – total car price, sales tax included (Craig’s List: April 2019 price is $14,500)
$ 1,000 electrician charger wiring
$ 500 charger purchase 240 volt
$21,250 total for car, tax, wiring and charger
Ongoing car operation and maintenance is so minimal:
- Electricity price is 25% of the price of gas
- $65 per year maintenance, really!
- White carpool lane stickers, ok for solo driver
- No oil change, no smog, no transmission fluid change, no tune ups ever
